Wool Fusion – A Week Long Celebration of Wool, Colour and Collaboration
Wool Week’s major event Wool Fusion attracted much attention and plenty of interest. Colour was the uniting theme that saw fashion, photography, fabric, flooring, furnishings and film displayed in a curated celebration of natural wool.
Based at 35, Baker Street, the event benefited from a central London location near to many of the leading stores that participated in the Campaign’s retail platform. Within five minutes walk were special woolly promotions run by Marks and Spencer, John Lewis and Jack Wills as well as many others.
Wool Fusion intended to bring the story of wool’s stunning versatility to the visitor in a gallery-esque format which allowed individual pieces to really shine and to encourage people to appreciate the incredible diversity and many performance benefits of wool.
Let’s take a walk through our Wool Week showcase …

Colour and pattern looked brilliant in this clever vignette with our stunning wool tapestry as the backdrop.
And we had wool rugs that were just so fabulous you just have to hang them on the wall!
Those ‘must-have’ sofas created quite a stir and lots of beautiful throws, cushions and accessories made it on to the Christmas wish list!.
People loved the lighting – wool makes light so much softer and more interesting!
And so many people reached up to stroke our wool horse – it was almost as if he was real!
The Harris Tweed chair in the Cat’s Cradle captivated everybody as they tried to work out how it was made but that seat was for display only!
Wool Fusion fashion gave us a taste of what you can wear in wool this season and our partners included some of the leading fashion brands and a a diverse display of active wear.
Gorgeous print on wool…
The perfect winter woolly!
…and we had a really fun display that looked at why wool is not just pretty but is actually perfect for babies and young children.
