Ladies and gentlemen, do not start your engines… Get on your bikes and start knitting

In support of the Campaign for Wool’s Wool Ride, a one of a kind cycling experience that will launch the frenzy of fibre that is Wool Week, the CFW have a woolly surprise for those wanting to get involved.

Commencing at 9am and finishing at 2pm at Potters Fields, London on Sunday 5th October, the 13.4 mile ride will take cyclists around some of London’s key sites as well as through streets made famous by London’s most prominent wool supporters. There will be a host of activities for all ages available at Potters Fields including real sheep, live music, shows from BMX riders and a prize giving at the end.

In order to help celebrate, we are calling on all of our knitters and crochet enthusiasts to get involved by knitting items for our cyclists to wear on the ride. You can be as imaginative as you want and design anything from a wool bobble hat to a bespoke seat cover!

There will be a prize giving on the day and a lucky few of you will win from an array of prizes ranging from a designer Real Shetland wool throw to surprise goodies from our partner retailers.

Send us pictures of you and your family with your one of kind creations and we will post the best on our Facebook pages.
