今日、丸ビルマルキューブで行われたメディアイベントではキャンペーン・フォー・ウールの最高執行責任者(COO)であるピーター・アクロイドがキャンペーン・フォー・ウールについて説明、『日本は英国のウール（羊毛）産業にとって、重要なマーケットです。そしてまた、ここ丸の内でももちろん、そして日本中で展開をしている英国のファッション業界にとっても重要なマーケットです。』と述べました。 今回の 『Shopping is GREAT Britain 英国ショッピングウィーク』 にはAlexander McQueen、Anya Hindmarch、Aquascutum、BEAMS HOUSE、DAKS、FRED PERRY、Isetan Men’s、JIMMY CHOO、JOHN SMEDLEY、MACKINTOSH、 MACKINTOSH PHILOSOPHY、MARGARET HOWELL、Nigel Cabourn、The DUFFER of St.GEORGE、TOPSHOP / TOPMAN、Vulcanize London などのファッションブランドが参加しています。 メディアイベントの最後には、リビングストン貿易投資国務大臣、ティム・ヒッチンズ駐日英国大使、ピーター・アクロイド、三菱地所株式会社 代表取締役専務執行役員 加藤譲氏によるテープカットが行われ、GREAT Week および『Shopping is GREAT Britain 英国ショッピングウィーク』のオフィシャルスタートを祝いました。
