British GQ, Murdock London, Globe-Trotter, 25 tailors and 28 wool manufacturers and merchants joined us on Savile Row yesterday as wool played the starring role in a celebration of luxury menswear that launched Wool Week 2015. Whilst the weather took a distinctly Autumnal turn it proved the perfect setting for wool and the crowds came out in droves to support the work of the tailoring houses and the message of The Campaign – Live Naturally and Choose Wool.
Our thanks goes out to Murdock London who provided grooming for each of our models and two barbers in the ‘Shearing Shed’ who gave stylish guests free mini grooming treatments all day. Murdock London are offering wool fans special offers in their Brewer Street store during our Wool Night Out which takes place in London on Thursday 8th October.

British GQ continued their on-going support of His Royal Highness’s Campaign for Wool and came out in force to capture the most stylish gentlemen of the day for a special Wool Week street style gallery live now on gq.co.uk.

Globe-Trotter provided bespoke wool luggage for the Traveller story, with cloth from Yorkshire based Hainsworth and the garments were finished off with accessories from the gentlemen’s houses of Mayfair and St. James’s, Trickers, Edward Green, Gaziano Girling and Ogden Jewellers of Harrogate, Cutler & Gross, Anderson & Sheppard Haberdashery and Lock & Co Hatters.

Budd Shirtmakers along with Emma Willis in collaboration with Monti and Turnbull & Asser in collaboration with Albini dressed the models in 100% wool shirting and wool cotton blend shirts – not many people know that Merino wool is ideally suited to shirts, offering the wearer day long comfort, minimal creasing, breathability and increased odour control – another amazing benefit of wool!

Hawick Knitwear, Johnstons of Elgin and Escorial provided soft, chunky knits for the Icelandic story and John Smedley dressed the Traveller story in their signature fine gauge Merino knitwear. Anderson & Sheppard Haberdashery kindly supplied knitwear for both Icelandic and Traveller collections.
