In addition, the Campaign for Wool continues to celebrate the ‘Royal Winter Fair’ and sees an expansion of activities  to the ‘West Coast’, and for the first time since its launch by TRH The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall in 2014, Canadian Wool Week will debut in Vancouver, British Columbia with a series of events encouraging consumers to Live Naturally and Choose Wool.

Activities in Canada’s western fashion hub will include an Industry and media launch event at the exclusive ‘Secret Location’ store in Vancouver’s historic Gastown area, as well as a presence at the iconic ‘Circle Craft Christmas Market’ at the Vancouver Convention Centre.

The Campaign once again will also have a substantial presence at ‘Toronto’s Royal Winter Fair’ promoting our #farmtocloset message to the 300,000 people who pass through its doors.  The Royal Winter Fair is the largest indoor agricultural event in the world.  Since 1922, the country has ‘come to the city’ as farmers, growers, producers and homesteaders come from all over Canada to exhibit their very best agricultural products and livestock.  The Campaign for Wool is the lead sponsor for all the sheep and wool related activities at the Fair, which runs the entire length of Canadian Wool Week.  This includes a variety of different public competitions, the ‘Sheep Education Centre’, the ‘Wool Competitions’ and the ‘Breeding Sheep Show’.  New to the Fair this year is retail partner ‘Ca Va De Soi’ who will be conducting public ‘Wool Care’ demonstrations, helping to dispel the myths about wool being hard to care for, and teaching consumers about the importance of choosing natural fibres in order to protect watersheds.
