A week in Interiors

It’s a busy week ahead for wool interiors! First up, we’re heading to Decorex at Syon Park, which is on from now until Wednesday. For those in the know, you’ll be aware that Decorex is synonymous with luxury, and is internationally renowned for being THE event to discover the very best, and most coveted products from an unrivalled collection of 400 hand-selected exhibitors. This year, you’ll be met by a wonderful flock of sheep at the entrance too!

If that wasn’t enough reason to pop along to Syon Park, this year, we’ve partnered with Home and Gardens to bring an exclusive Wool Trail. The map above highlights the designers and brands at Decorex that are showing the innovative possibilities of wool as flooring, fabrics, lighting, upholstery and in mattresses. Not only does wool look and feel fabulous, it is also durable, warm, sustainable and safe.

If you’re heading to Decorex, make sure to keep your eyes peeled for our wool trail logo as you explore the show and for our Campaign for Wool supporters Naomi Paul, Crucial Trading, Alternative Flooring and Vispring who’ll be at the show too.

Next show on our agenda this week is The Flooring Show, taking place from 20th-22nd September. The Flooring Show has been held since 1962, with most of the 52 shows in the series having taken place at its home in Harrogate.

There’s a reason people choose wool over other flooring options. Wool carpet provides superior performance over many years as it can offer unique resilience and long lasting durability. The natural crimp of wool offers valuable ‘bounce-back’ so that pile compression is resisted and the effects of tracking and shading are reduced – maintaining good appearance over many years.

We’re returning for a second year to the show, alongside British Wool, bringing along our Wool Trends installation. There will be a free ‘Wool for the Home’ brochure to all visitors who pop along to the show too. Our stylish and vibrant showpiece will host leading carpet manufacturers, Adam Carpets, Axminster Carpets, Brintons, Brockway Carpets, Bronte Carpets, Cavalier Carpets, Ulster Carpets and Westex in the Wool Trends area. Close by in Hall C you will find Whitestone Weavers, Hugh Mackay, Kingsmead Carpets and other wool brands too.

Keep up to date with both shows over on our Twitter with #Decorex15 and #TheFlooringShow.
