Wool Week Cape Town celebrates ideas, new creations and the infinite possibilities of wool. Fashion, décor, design and architectural uses of wool showcased through weeklong celebration at V&A Waterfront. April Visitors to the V&A Waterfront can look forward to a fusion of creativity, inspiration and other off-the-wall events during a weeklong celebration of South African wool.
Wool Week Cape Town will showcase contemporary ideas, new creations and the infinite possibilities of wool for home decoration, fashion, arts, crafts and architecture. The weeklong activities will take place across various indoor and outdoor areas at the V&A Waterfrontduring the week of 7 – 12 April 2015.
Louis De Beer, Cape Wools CEO, mentioned the event will include representatives from Woolworths and will include fashion, local and international creative industries, interior decorators, fashion designers, textile manufacturers and all people with a love for wool will be present at Wool Week Cape Town.
Louis said Wool Week is an international initiative supported by the South African wool community celebrating the the versatility, luxuriousness, and ecologically-friendly credentials of this natural fibre.
“Wool Weeks have taken place across the world in major cities and iconic destinations including London, Oslo, Madrid and Milan since 2010. It is one of several initiatives for the Campaign for Wool, a global event founded by His Royal Highness, Prince of Wales, also patron for the event,” he said.
