In part 6 of our #OneWool initiative we’d like to introduce nominations from The Design Centre at Chelsea Harbour; Christian Fischbacher, Dedar, Porada, Tufenkian Carpets London Ltd and Turnell & Gignon.
Swiss fabric company Christian Fischbacher has used a British mill to produce that gorgeous crêpe.
The structured surface gives this wonderful wool crêpe plain its very special character. A sophisticated colour palette ranges from delicate pastels to rich, contemporary colours. Momento is a timeless plain for many applications. The 100% wool upholstery or drapery material is inherently flame retardant and can also be used in contract.

54% WV, 46% CO (pile 100% WV), W. 140 cm, 38 colours
Armchair with frame in solid ash and fabrics in the colours of the collection, inspired by the fifties elegance, it’s part of the latest Porada collection presented in Milano. Porada’s aim is to create timeless elegant furniture that can stay in every modern home and last forever. Design goes together with functionality, so that in every product you can find both shape and substance, aesthetical taste and utility. Daphne (centre image) is the perfect example of the company’s taste.
We have selected a product which is part of our New collection which is called Channel Silver, we currently have this displayed in our Chelsea Harbour Design Centre showroom. This is part of our Tufenkian Core Collection. The Channel Silver has accents of silk running through which gives this rug a nice sheer and is simple and elegant.
Our rugs are hand knotted and hand crafted in Nepal. Shearing Tibetan sheep are raised in the Himalayan Mountains. They produce lustrous, resilient, lanolin-rich wool, considered the finest in the world for rug production Tufenkian’s Tibetan and Armenian carpets remain vibrant and beautiful throughout generations of use.

From the valley of Kashmir, we are happy to introduce Kharif Crewel; a large scale eye-catching all-over wool crewel design that gets its spirit from the Fauvist style landscapes of the early 20th Century.
The Crewelwork is a decorative form of surface embroidery using 100% wool to follow the design outline applied to the fabric. In our opinion Kharif Crewel illustrates the very best of this technique which is over 1000 years old.
