As part of the Wool Week 2013 celebrations, the Campaign for Wool launched a special interiors promotion to encourage manufacturers, retailers, designers and consumers to nominate their favourite wool product of choice to become a part of One Wool, a digital promotion of wool interiors.
OneWool is a unique promotion designed to build the profile of great interior wool products and their unique story. Rugs, carpets, fabrics, furnishings and pieces of art have been nominated so far.
The Campaign asked leading brands to nominate their very best wool product.
Here are some of the nominations and what the brands said about them:
“Designed in classic modern style, the Wolseley collection was created by MADE.COM in collaboration with homes expert Alison Cork. Made here in the UK with clean lines, luxury materials and subtle piping for a sophisticated look and feel. The Wolseley in Fawn Beige is made from 100% herringbone wool, this means it’s resistant to wrinkling and sagging which helps keep it looking sharp for longer. Because it is made from wool it is also naturally anti-static, so doesn’t pick up dust, and is a lot less likely to get stained by accidental spills. Perfect. ”
Interior designer and artist Stephanie Carswell nominated one of her beautiful felted African deer heads.

“They are both needle felted from 100% British wool using a single felting needle. I hope they represent a different element of interior decoration using wool, a bit different from the norm whilst being a tactile and exciting pieces of art. In support of OneWool, Vi-Spring submitted its amazing Devonshire with Wool De Luxe divan

In support of One Wool, Roger Oates submitted their new Cheviot range
“The new Roger Oates flatweave flooring collection is the first in British Cheviot wool. Through experimentation and development in collaboration with wool merchants and yarn spinners, a Cheviot wool blend yarn was specially spun. The yarn not only provides a good spring, which is invaluable to high quality textiles, particularly floorcoverings that are in daily use but also allows clear bright colours to sing through. Classic border and herringbone designs from the archives have been updated and pared-back for this collection, focusing on the introduction of pure tones of red, blue, orange, green and grey. The result is fresh, young and timeless.”
