Shetland Wool has long been regarded as a world-class fibre. Grown and cared for by local islanders, whose knowledge of wool seems intrinsically linked with their heritage.

The brilliant I’I Shetland, is a popular monthly magazine dedicated to telling the stories of the people and events of the lively Shetland communities. Their October issue follows the numerous activities during the fantastic Shetland Wool Week 7-13th October 2013, where wool lovers galore attended talks, demonstrations, discussions, all educating consumers about the potential of wool.

From the Whalsay School children’s knitting class to Jamieson & Smith’s woolbrokers, the events were plentiful, showing the outside world that Shetland is still top when it comes to wool.
