In the lead up to Wool Week Australia, 9th to 15th May, Campaign for Wool partner KPC Yarn is having a special pop-up exhibition in Sydney, featuring local and international artists.

The 10-day exhibition, titled Thread + Colour, collaborates with 22 established artists whose work offers a new take on the traditional world of textiles and all have one common thread: wool.

Using Australian Merino wool supplied by Gostwyck Australia, each workshop highlights the versatility of this premium, natural fibre, encouraging this in attendance to discover the natural benefits of wool.

From dream weave Natalie Miller to extreme knitter Jacqui Fink, or Kaylene Milner of Wah-Wah and her music-inspired wool jumpers, there’s sure to be something for everyone during this special pop-up exhibition.

“This vibrant collection combines a wealth of talent and strong international influences, and will be on display in Sydney at The William Street Gallery, Paddington, from April 23 to May 1,” says creative co-ordinator Ingrid Keneally. “All of the range from KPC Yarn will be available as well as the original artworks and hand-made one-off designs and wares such as Jacqui Fink’s Little Dandelion range.”
