The Campaign for Wool speaks to Motilo for the ways and wears of winter knits this season.

We know it’s not cold enough yet – but nothing shifts our minds into new season mode like a wicked winter knit. Hence Motilo’s decision to forgo a sunday lie in to bike about London town.

Over 13 miles we oohed and ahhed over the fluffy creations dotted around town; pointed out the wooly window displays, at points squealing out to more than just the riders in the pack (tourists at Piccadilly Circus, we apologize); and planned where we’d home one of the brilliantly bright sheep currently standing guard outside of London’s Southwark Cathedral. But of course being Motilo (the website obsessed with style solutions), it was the cracking and cosy creations we spotted en route that dominated our conversations: how we’d we wear them and where’d we go. Let us recount the ways, wears and wheres:

What: Barbour X Christopher Raeburn

Wear: On or off the catwalk, Christopher Raeburn needs little extra styling. Case in point here. We’ll be wearing this buy with OTK boots and a thigh skimming mini on brave days.

Where: From desk to drinks and back to the desk again. Ahem.

What: Jigsaw Clan Check Bomber

Wear: We’re forever stealing from our boyfriend’s bedroom floor, but not anymore. Jigsaw has saved both our relationship and quest for the coziest sunday throw-on.

Where: Roasts, walks in the park or just to nip to the shops in. It’s da bomb.

What: Brora Fair Isle Cardigan

Wear: Every wardrobe needs a festive knit. Wear over pretty undies for a chic-on-the outside-cheeky-on-the-inside approach to dressing.

Where: Anywhere and everywhere considered off-duty. Simple.

This is just the start. Click over to Motilo for more on why we’re willing on a cold snap.
