Wool Education Roadshow Starts in Texas

The Campaign for Wool begins a Wool Roadshow this week with the newly launched ‘Understanding Wool Fiber’ Course. The course has been developed to further the knowledge within the design community about the many characteristics, attributes and assets of real wool for interior textiles and specifically carpets and rugs.

Created as a Continuing Education Unit - CEU, the course is officially accredited by the Interior Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC) and allows designers, architects and those associated with these industries to gain an official CEU credit.

The first ‘Understanding Wool Fiber’ CEU presentation will be in Texas at Austin Fine Floors, part of the International Design Guild. The Wool Roadshow moves on to IDG showrooms in Salt Lake City, San Francisco and Minneapolis and will present to over 200 interior designers during its tour.

“I am delighted to be able to host the first stage of the Wool CEU Roadshow with IDG. This is a great opportunity to educate designers face to face on the many benefits of real wool and show how wool can be both luxurious and highly practical, safe and environmentally beneficial too.” Bridgette Kelly, Interior Textiles Director of the Campaign for Wool said.

The Campaign for Wool was initiated by HRH The Prince of Wales in 2010 in the UK to promote real wool as the superior natural and sustainable fibre for interiors, fashion and the built environment, It is funded by the world’s leading wool producing organisations and is now a global initiative with activity in fourteen countries.
