The Campaign for Wool’s Wool Week returned to China for its fourth year in collaboration with the annual jazz fete, JZ Festival Shanghai. The three-day event celebrated and promoted the Campaign’s philosophy “Live Naturally, Choose Wool,” through fashion, lifestyle and music enjoyment. The event included a “wool wardrobe” display featuring 13 Campaign partners – including CROQUIS, DEPOT 3, EACHWAY, ICICLE, JNBY, jnby by JNBY, MARK FAIRWHALE, MASFER.SU, TINA GIA, UPPER, WHITE COLLAR and YOUSOKU – offering customers the opportunity to learn more about choosing wool products for a seasonal wardrobe. Campaign partners also celebrated wool through in-store promotions throughout the Week.
This November, Campaign for Wool partner Isetan Shinjuku will host a woolly takeover, as the iconic department store celebrates Wool Week in Japan.
From November 3 to 10 Isetan Shinjuku hosted several exciting wool-themed activities, including a virtual reality trip to Australia where visitors were transported to an Australian wool growing property to discover more about Merino wool. Isetan Shinjuku’s, ‘The Stage’ was also transformed into a wool hub by Japanese design studio, Craft Design Technology, to encourage shoppers to ‘Live Naturally, Choose Wool’.
As proud retail partners of the coveted International Woolmark Prize, Isetan Shinjuku hosted a presentation by 2014/15 womenswear winner, Marcia Patmos, showcasing her winning collection of nomadic-luxe Merino wool travel garments.
As global Wool Weeks continue to connect consumers with the latest and most innovative wool product, the Campaign welcomed celebrated British menswear designer Jeremy Hackett, the founder of HACKETT LONDON, to Isetan Mitsukoshi. Hackett hosted an exclusive seminar and offered a fitting session of exclusively British-made items to Tokyo’s most stylish men.
The famous Tweed Run, which originated in London in 2009, returned to Japan as Tweed-clad cyclists in Nagoya were invited to participate in the Tweed Run Bishu, 2015. This is the second time the event has been held in Nagoya, Japan’s home to wool textile manufacturers.
