Jessica Dance is a Textile Artist and Model Maker specialising in creating tactile, handcrafted models and props. Her take on everyday items, intricately crafted in lambswool, is instantly recognisable and much in demand by fashion and media brands such as Tatler, Stylist, Liberty, Creative Review and ITV so we were thrilled when Jessica agreed to create something special for the Wool BnB.
The ‘Knitted Breakfast’, featuring a full English complete with teeny, individually knitted baked beans, Continental pastries, a hand embroidered jar of honey, and even a bowl of shreddies was one of the star attractions of last year’s jam-packed Wool Week, wowing everyone who came to visit so we jumped at the chance to meet up with Jessica again for a more in-depth chat delving into the creative and practical processes that inform her work.
