Wilton Carpet have been producing wool-rich carpet for the hotel and leisure industry on their Wiltshire site since 1995 (in their present incarnation), however the plant is steeped in wool history as records show weaving sheds have operated there for almost 400 years.

This innovative, design-led, British business is enjoying a period of strong growth and sustained prosperity thanks to increased orders from international customers. A new £1.5m high speed loom has enabled Wilton to keep up with this demand by increasing output by 33%.

We visited the factory as a brand new bespoke carpet for the prestigious Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Paris was being produced to find out why wool is playing an integral role in Wilton’s success.
